This project initiated my love affair with paper. I used paper to create a wearable wing-like piece to combine my interests of sculpture and wearable fabrications.
I wanted to explore crumpling as a technique while also using it to add texture to the wings. I then sculpted the crumpled paper by creating small folds. The process of creating them started off feeling chaotic, but by the time I put them on I felt empowered.
